Utah Area CMA Committee Reports
President: Nothing to report other than he’s been busy with planning a 12-step retreat which is now over so he can focus more time on Area stuff.
Treasurer: $ 1069.54 balance
Secretary: Vacant
H&I: Vacant
PI&O: Has also been busy. Has spoken to some NA folks to ask where they’re posting schedules and has been looking for places to post schedules.
Communications: Absent
Literature: Adam F.: pamphlet of the month, experience of the fellowship with tips and CMA phrases about staying sober geared towards the newcomer. Working on design for newcomer packet. Austin is asking for feedback on the newcomer packet.
Events: Vacant
Sr. Delegate: Has been attending delegate sessions in preparations for the GSC in November. Adam will provide more details around that. Has also been attending H&I Subcommittee meetings and has learned a lot about H&I resources available for us.
Jr. Delegate: Gave a presentation on the GSC form for the delegate packet items. James explained how the google form was going to work with the different groups and that we’re going to use it as a way to pitch area to the groups who haven’t sent GSRs yet.
GSR reports
LFK: Doing ok. Starting to see a swell of numbers again. Treasury in good shape. Asks that the other groups announce LFK in their meetings.
CSP: Doing well. Have had between 17 and 25 people. Lot of new people are trickling in. Increasing diversity of people. Treasury balance $201.19. Experimenting with the last reading, trying different possibilities. Fellowship half or more of the weeks, they mix it up.
Y&M: Meeting is doing well. Treasury is somewhere between $200-$300. Y&M needs help with attendance. Will recommit to announcing other meetings.
Old business
Newcomer packet. Austin needs people to proof-read. Message or comment with your recommendations.
New business
James made a motion to create a Google form survey. Adam F seconded. Passed unanimously. James will create the survey and send it to the group chat this weekend/by next week.
Adam F motioned to have the GSRs take back to their groups a proposal to add QR codes that direct to cmautah.org and/or the Area WhatsApp group. Edward shared that there’s lots of strength in community and so promoting the WhatsApp area group would be beneficial. Passed unanimously.
Motioned to move Area business meeting to second Thursday of the month at 8:00PM
