President: James didn’t have anything to report
Treasurer: James G gave the treasury report, new contribution from “Clean, Sober and Proud” $100. Balance is: $724.75
Secretary: Charlie K, nothing to report
H&I: Albie, no new leads. James is offering to help with “cold calls” at different treatment centers.
PI&O: Position not yet filled
Communications: Jonathan traffic is up on the website. New content on the site is completed. Will continue to update the events calendar.
Literature: Austin, nothing to report
Events: Position not yet filled. – Reach out to people who would be good candidates for this position, ie. other event organizers in other fellowships, visibility and opportunity for service.
Delegate: James, World General Conference of CMA: 09/26/24-09/29/24 in Las Vegas, NV.
Regional Forum: December 2024 (Delegate attends but open to all)
NY Area CMA step book may be up for being voted in as conference approved literature
GSR reports:
LFK: Finn – Update USARA on meeting time? Albie will follow up for info on the website. Attendance is starting to come back up. Implementing a more standard business meeting format as demographic changes (Robert’s Rules?). James suggested a pamphlet re: business meetings.
CSP: Edward – Good attendance 15-20 people, demographics in group is diversifying as well. Sent $100 to area.
Old business:
Treasury report linked as google spreadsheet in the spirit of transparency on the CMA website.
New business:
James – Albie elected as stand in delegate, nomenclature change to “Jr. Delegate”
CMA World is next weekend, its hybrid – can attend virtually for $30. Review delegate packet prior to the conference, would be beneficial to review at each group’s business meeting. Should we send a delegate? (Yes) Conference schedule and layout reviewed with group. Discussion about splitting up the time commitment of the conference between people. Motion: Send Albie to one session per day. Passes 4 to 3. $30 from treasury to register Albie for the CMA World Conference.
